Rainbows

Summer Storms
August 29, 2007

We just had a storm blow through here an hour or so ago and when I looked out back to see if it was still raining - this is what I saw!

A double rainbow!

Of course the kids just had to go outside and play in the front yard. As you can see = the kids across the street were also outside playing in the puddles. Our yard was more lake a small pond.

Look mom - this is so much fun!!! They tried really hard to get me wet. They only succeeded once and then it was time to go inside! Mean mommy!! :-)

We are headed out of town this weekend. Our last camping trip of the summer. We can't wait to get away. The camper is in the driveway and all I need to do is load our clothes and food in it. We are headed to Florence, Georgia. I'll post a new BLOG next week about our trip.

Rusty will be taking his GRE this Friday before we go. Please think of him and pray that he scores really high. He's really smart but you never know how these tests go. He has been making really good grades right now in college. For those of you that don't know - he has been back in school since last Fall (he already has his Bachelors and his Associates) finishing up his science classes so that he can apply to PA (Physician's Assistant) school. I am so proud of him. He works 2 jobs and is taking 3 classes right now and he makes awesome grades. Honey - I'm so proud of you.

Hope that everyone has a safe holiday weekend!

No Training Wheels!

LOOK WHAT ALAN CAN DO!
AUGUST 12, 2007

Hey everyone!

Guess what Alan can do now!!!!!!! He's a couple weeks shy of being 3 years old and he's riding his bike with no training wheels!!!! Rusty decided to take off his training wheels yesterday and off he went. His little legs were moving faster than they did when the training wheels were on. The only thing that he is having problems with is starting off but Carrigan was a really big help with helping him get on! My little boy is growing up! I told Rusty that we might just have to get him a motorcycle for Christmas :-) Of course - Carrigan said that she wants one too and a 4-wheeler! We will just have to wait and see!

Off he goes!

There's no stopping him!

He's already becoming a dare devil. Riding with no training wheels for less than an hour - he decides to go down the back of the trailer. Of course - with his sisters help! Prior to that he was riding his scooter off the back of the trailer. You can see his scooters lined up in the background :-)

Have a great week!

Back to School

IT'S BACK TO SCHOOL FOR CARRIGAN
August 6, 2007

I can't believe that the summer has flown by. There are so many people that we didn't get to spend time with which I had planned on. Oh well - maybe we can get together sometime soon.

We've had a great summer but it's time to go back to school..

Carrigan started first grade this morning. She was so excited when she woke up. It was pretty crazy getting her to school. We left the house on time but the traffic going into the school was terrible. I forgot it was like that last year also. Carrigan was such a big girl - while we were waiting in traffic she told me that she didn't need me to walk her in this year - she could do it on her own. So...I pulled up to the curb and out she went. She told me she would see me later when I pick her up. She never looked back :-(

Alan is already missing his sister. He keeps asking me "Now Sissy"? That is his way of telling me it's time to go and get her. :-)

Here's a picture I took of her this morning!

Have a great day!
